4. Undefeated Regular Season

This is not necessarily a bold prediction considering the ACC is a weak conference, but it is a prediction nonetheless. Clemson will be favored in every game they play in the regular season, many by double-digits.

The season opens up on Sept. 3 against Georgia Tech. The schedule features cupcake games against opponents like Akron and The Citadel. On paper, Clemson will not be challenged in a game until November. Of course, there is usually one game for a big name team that gives them trouble unexpectedly. On Nov. 7, Clemson will travel to South Bend to take on Notre Dame.

The matchup with Notre Dame will mark one of the rare instances where Clemson is a single-digit favorite. They have gone undefeated in the regular season three times since 2015. Clemson has become a staple in the ACC Championship Game and is usually not challenged.

An undefeated regular season and a conference title puts a team in the playoff almost automatically. That is the fate for Clemson football in 2020.
