NCAA Football: 4 early predictions for the Clemson Tigers in 2020

1. Clemson Wins National Title

Year in and year out, there are four teams consistently near the top of the rankings. Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia are always title contenders. In 2019, LSU broke through with one of the best offensive seasons in college football history.

The Clemson football program is entering 2020 as arguably the best team in the nation. Trevor Lawrence is one of the top players and Swinney is still an elite level coach. All around, Clemson is a threat once again. They have found themselves in the National Championship Game in four of the last five years. They have won two, with both wins coming over Alabama.

The Tigers matched up with LSU last season in a game that many thought they would not reach. They were bested by Joe Burrow and the LSU offense. Burrow is now a Cincinnati Bengal and Lawrence and the Tigers could be in for a third straight trip to the title game.

If they were to make it, Clemson would go all out for their superstar under center and in the backfield. It would be hard to bet against Clemson entering the 2020 season.
