3. Travis Etienne Rushes for 2,000
Travis Etienne has been one of the best backs in the nation for two years. He has eclipsed 200 carries and 1,600 yards in each of the last two seasons. During that time, Etienne has scored 43 touchdowns and been as consistent as can be for Clemson.
If Etienne entered the draft this year, he would have been one of the top prospects at the running back position. His decision to return is good news for Clemson and gives himself a chance to raise his draft stock even more for 2021. This could be the year that Etienne breaks the 2k mark.
Over the course of two years, Etienne is averaging eight yards per carry. He is a proven commodity in the backfield. Clemson just needs to give him the ball more for him to reach 2,000 yards. Jonathan Taylor, formerly of Wisconsin, has gone for over 2,000 yards twice because Wisconsin was a run first team. Clemson has a balanced offensive attack.
Nonetheless, Etienne has the talent and the offensive line to run for 2,000 yards. This would be some way to enter the NFL draft if he were able to eclipse the number.
