4. Eric Stokes, Georgia
Stokes has climbed up draft boards quickly. As a sophomore, Stokes totaled 30 tackles, a forced fumble, and nine pass deflections. The road as a cornerback was not always easy for Stokes.
Stokes began as a running back at Eastside High School. He did not begin playing corner until his junior year. Stokes possesses incredible speed that helps him on both ends. Entering Georgia, he has been used primarily as a corner and that has been the correct decision. Stokes has been working out as the top cornerback for Georgia.
At 6’1, Stokes has great length at the position. He has strong closing speed and knows how to recognize a route. Stokes is a strong cover corner because of his body control. His hands will have to improve at the next level but he has one more season in a Bulldogs’ uniform to complete his skillset.
