DaeSean Hamilton
There’s no doubt that the Denver Broncos are instilling their trust in Drew Lock as their next franchise quarterback. Given that, the Broncos made it a priority to address the wide receiver position in the 2020 NFL Draft. Altogether, Denver would add Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, and Tyrie Cleveland in the seven rounds of this year’s draft.
As a result, DaeSean Hamilton and Tim Patrick could be in jeopardy of descending down the depth chart rather quickly. Hamilton, who was a fourth-round pick for the Broncos in the 2018 NFL Draft, hasn’t been able to carve out a consistent role in Denver’s offense. Still, Hamilton’s shiftiness and ability to create separation with his route running should manufacture some intrigue from teams.
Last season, Hamilton saw a 20-percent increase in his offensive snaps with the Broncos. In his two seasons in Denver, the Penn State product has combined for 58 receptions for 540 yards and three touchdowns. Despite Hamilton’s emergence at the end of the 2019 season, the additions of Jeudy and Hamler make it difficult for Hamilton to see the field. Not to mention, Courtland Sutton figures to continue as Denver’s No. 1 pass-catcher in 2020.
