Baltimore Ravens
What made the Baltimore Ravens so special in 2019 was not just Lamar Jackson but the added advantage of having a bruising runner like Mark Ingram in the backfield. In 2019, the Ravens finished the season ranked 1st in rushings yards and attempts, and 2nd in rushing touchdowns. There is more to be expected in 2020. But what happens after that?
While Jackson is still growing into his role, it’s Ingram the Ravens will need to monitor. While Gus Edwards is a great change of pace runner, can he handle the load of 250+ attempts per season? Ingram’s contract is not up until 2022 but will the Ravens take a gamble on a running back who will be 32 years old by the middle of the 2010 season?
Pairing Derrick Henry with Jackson would put the Ravens in a spot that would allow Jackson to become a better QB. The Jackson and Ingram duo is good but Henry just turned 25 in January which equals to less wear and tear on the body.
