NFL Free Agency 2021: 5 way-too-early landing spots for Hunter Henry

1. Los Angeles Chargers

Los Angeles knows Hunter Henry better than any team in the league. They’re the ones who took a chance on him when he was drafted 35th overall in 2016. They’re the ones who have kept him on the roster these past four seasons. And they’re the ones who have given him a chance to start when he’s been healthy.

The Chargers get Hunter Henry. They know exactly what he brings to the table when he’s healthy. They know how much of their offense operates through Henry. And now, with them breaking in a new quarterback in rookie Justin Herbert, they’re sure to want as many skilled pass-catchers on the roster as possible.

Injuries or not, a Chargers/Henry reunion when the tight end’s contract expires in 2021 makes too much sense to not be a possibility.
