The NFC East was one of the more underwhelming divisions in the NFL last season. The Philadelphia Eagles ended up surpassing the Dallas Cowboys towards the end of the regular season. Meanwhile, the New York Giants and the Washington franchise both had rough seasons.

It took a late-season effort for the Eagles to surpass the Cowboys in the division standings and to win the division title ultimately. Both teams will look to compete closely once again during the upcoming 2020 season. Both sides made aggressive moves in the offseason to improve, too.

Dallas went through an initial rough period in free agency that featured losing plenty of key defensive players. They managed to add CeeDee Lamb and find replacements at important spots using the 2020 NFL Draft. Meanwhile, Philadelphia added Jalen Reagor and signed some intriguing veteran defensive players.

The immediate results the Giants and Washington achieve likely will continue to be less than stellar. However, both teams made intriguing additions to their roster that will help further their rebuilding efforts for long-term gain. A surprisingly successful 2020 campaign isn’t improbable, though.

With that being said, let’s take a look at the top five moves that teams in the NFC East made during the offseason.
