Dak Prescott Plays Like A Top 5 QB
Much of the offseason has been spent talking about Dak Prescott’s ongoing contract talks with the Dallas Cowboys. Many seem to forget how dynamic he was during the 2019 season, totaling 4,902 passing yards, 30 touchdown passes, and 11 interceptions.
When many think about the top QBs in the NFL, the list starts with Patrick Mahomes, and rightfully so. There is plenty of room for debate after the fact with players like Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson to name a few. Prescott belongs in that conversation.
With so many weapons in the Cowboys’ offense, Prescott should be able to produce figures close to the levels he did in 2019. He doesn’t need to ramp up his figures to receive recognition as a top-five quarterback. Instead, he simply needs to win more games.
There is little reason to believe Prescott won’t improve against winning teams. That alone would translate to far more wins in 2020 and with CeeDee Lamb added into the mix, there is no excuse for the franchise-quarterback to not get the job done.
