Steelers: 4 massive bold predictions for Pittsburgh in 2020

Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger

The 2019 season was a roller coaster for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They lost Ben Roethlisberger early with an injury to his elbow. James Conner missed time with an injury and Juju Smith-Schuster struggled in his first year as the No. 1 receiver.

The Steelers began 0-3 in 2019 that included a 33-3 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 1 on Sunday Night Football. They began the season 2-4 heading into their bye week.

Coming out of the bye, the Steelers won six of their next seven games and played their way into a wild card spot late in the season. This did not last as they lost their final three games against the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, and Baltimore Ravens.

Despite the 8-8 finish in a season that could have went a lot worse, it was not satisfying given their finish. Heading into 2020, the Steelers are expected to fight for second place in the AFC North with the Cleveland Browns.

Roethlisberger will be back under center and Conner will be healthy in the backfield. Mike Tomlin is still the coach which means the Steelers will be a well-disciplined team as usual.

Pittsburgh surprised us in 2019. In 2020, they will have bigger expectations but how far will they actually go during the season? Here are four bold predictions for the Steelers in 2020.
