Broncos: Inexperience on Offense

It’s difficult to project what will happen with unproven players and that’s the greatest weakness for the Denver Broncos at the moment. They will be starting a second-year quarterback in Drew Lock that has five games under his belt.

The Broncos achieved legitimate success in the games Lock played in 2019 as they posted a 4-1 record. However, his individual production featured totals of just 1,020 passing yards and seven touchdowns. They will need greater volume to elevate the offense as a whole.

There is usually a lot of excitement surrounding every team’s draft class leading up to the time the rookies actually take the field. That is especially the case for a team like the Broncos that added explosive prospects that play skills positions.

Until the results are achieved on the field, the Broncos will face questions about how much inexperience will impact them in 2020. It takes time for players to develop and while the long-term result could be special,
