3. Diontae Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers have always had a great passing attack. Their scheme allows for multiple 1,000-yard receivers. While James Washington currently sits ahead of him on the depth chart, Johnson is likely going to take over as the Steelers number two receiver.
Last season, Johnson was more productive than Washington, who was more of a deep threat than a consistent go-to target.
Although the Steelers passing attack was subpar last season, they were missing Ben Roethlisberger due to injury. With Roethlisberger back behind center, the Steelers’ overall offense should improve immensely. During a press conference, this offseason head coach Mike Tomlin had high praise for Pittsburgh’s young receiver.
JuJu Smith-Schuster is going to be the primary receiver. James Washington is going to be the Steelers top deep threat. However, Diontae Johnson is going emerge as the secondary receiver that Pittsburgh needs. He could emerge as one of the top receivers that go undrafted in fantasy this season.
