NFL Free Agency 2021: Predicting where each notable QB will sign

Patriots, Cam Newton, Browns

Cam Newton

Bill Belichick will get a taste of a mobile quarterback and want more. Therefore, it is only logical they bring back the player who started this hunger. Cam Newton has a lot left in the tank. He is hungrier than he has ever been. This could be scary for the rest of the NFL.

Newton has been struggling with injuries in the last couple of seasons. Now fully healthy and with more desire than ever to prove doubters wrong, we may see the best version of himself.

Newton also has who many believe to be the greatest coach of all-time calling plays for him. Although Brady is a generational quarterback, his athletic ability limited Belichick’s play calling a bit. The NFL has become a much faster league. Cam Newton gives Belichick the ability to really open up his playbook.

Expect this season for the Patriots to continue their run atop of the AFC East. If this is true, it is highly unlikely they will let Newton walk in free agency.

Although Newton is 31-years-old, he is still very athletic. He has at least four-or-five years of quality football left. While the Patriots have Jarret Stidham, it’s likely he may end up like Jacoby Brissett or Jimmy Garoppolo and begin his career as a starter elsewhere. Expect Newton to be the Patriots’ starting quarterback for the foreseeable future.

Prediction: New England Patriots
